The Prospect Point F&B Operations Manager is responsible for the planning and overseeing of the Café, Ice Cream and Restaurant venues at the Prospect Point location in Stanley Park. This position is responsible for supervising all aspects of the food and beverage operations, while maintaining profitable outlets, high quality products and service levels that ensure exceptional guest service.

What You’ll Do
  • Models and manages effective supervision of Prospect Point venues to drive sales while maintaining exceptional guest service and park standards
  • Works to ensure the timely creation of department schedules to ensure maximum coverage during all business times (peak and non-peak), working within budget
  • Reviews team member productivity to achieve the desired results, coach supervisors on performance management techniques
  • Ensures all team members are properly trained and actively engaged
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
  • Ensure that all proper and necessary accounting controls are implemented and maintained
  • Consistently monitors and adjusts sales forecasts to ensure labor is utilized to optimize sales generation, working closely with operations managers
  • Ensure a high quality of Food & Beverage offerings throughout the venues at Prospect Point
  • Ensure team has system in place to ensure all food orders are accurate and timely
  • Support other Capilano Group locations, as required

Qualifications
  • 3 years management or supervisory experience in Food & Beverage industry
  • Completion (or completing) University or College degree in Tourism/Hospitality Management or in another related discipline, an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office and POS systems
  • Advanced Food Safe certifications
  • Serving it Right certification
  • Flexibility, able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Considerations
An ideal candidate for this role must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business. While performing the duties of this position, Team Members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time. This role will be working outdoors in all types of weather, occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50lbs, or occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool.

The wage for this role is $30.00 to $31.25 per hour depending on experience. This role is a temporary contract (maternity leave coverage) from April through to October 2026.
