As a banquet Bartender, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality cocktails quickly and consistently, engaging with guests, and keeping the bar running smoothly during events. The ideal candidate is skilled in mixology, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain glassware and cutlery
- Keep bar storage areas organized and stocked with supplies
- Maintain clean and tidy workstations including floors, counters, etc.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Work quickly and efficiently in very high paced events and weddings
- Recommend drinks based on customer preferences and food pairings
- Process transactions, handle cash, and ensure accurate billing
- Follow responsible alcohol service laws.
- Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements
- Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook
- Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies.
- Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and drink safety
- Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest’s health and safety
- Be alert to hazards and immediately report hazards, defective equipment or concerns to your supervisor.
- Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person’s safety is not impaired by alcohol, drugs or other causes
Qualifications:
- One (1) year of bartending experience
- Must have current Serving It Right certificate
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to manage challenging or high-stress scenarios effectively
- POS knowledge an asset
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool
Wage for this position is $20.85 per hour.
